If you don’t like something, change it. That has been Orion Startups thought since its foundation in 2014. Back then, a group of wonderful people came together and start changing the world forward through technology.
The why's
Why Us?
We know that there is a gap before being successful and after the initial discovery and growth. We perfectly fit in that gap to ensure startups will get to the point in which they can rapidly scale. For that, we do not only give them money, but also an intense five-months acceleration program that ensures that the metrics needed are achieved.
Why Tec?
Orion Technology Park is considered as one of the best ecosystems to start a startup in Latin America. Being a three-building park, it encloses +750 daily active users and more than +1000 visitors monthly. It is home to different business development programs; from idea discovery and incubation, all the way through scaling. Besides, as we are part of Tec de Monterrey Campus Chihuahua, we have a direct relationship with the academy, allowing us to take part of the community and their knowledge.
Why Chihuahua?
Chihuahua is a medium-sized city, compounded of a population of close-to-a-million. Yes, it is not big, but it is an amazing market for testing and validation. Besides, we are only a two-hour flight away from Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara in Mexico and Dallas, Austin and San Francisco in the US.

Why come here?
Let's face it: if you stay home and change nothing but your bank account balance, you’d do less than if you had no investment. If you are full-time in Chihuahua for at least five months, we’ll make sure you are fully concentrated in your startup development. At the end of the day, from the moment we invest in you, we become partners; so we want nothing more than your success.
Why that program?
We have come to know that academic-centered accelerators teach very good content, but are not fit to make people go further. Combining the Academy with Program Management and Mentorship Hours, we take the startups further and quicker; besides making them more professionalized.
Why 30K for 10%?
We initially value your startup at $300K USD. As you can see, it is a very early stage valuation. This is to be negotiated, don’t worry. Besides, the accelerator will make you grow your valuation by 1.5x at the very, very least.
